The State of Florida requires all
armed security officers and private investigators who carry a firearm in the
performance of their duties to obtain 4 hours of annual firearms training.
The qualification must be administered by a certified Florida Class "K"
license Instructor. The student must complete training and demonstrate
proficiency in the written exam and the live fire exercise shooting a state
required course of fire.
Requalification includes:
Legal Aspects for the Use of Firearms
Operational Firearm Safety
Firearms Mechanical Training
Firearms Qualification Written Examination (70% of correct answers is
passing score)
Firearms Requalification (168 points or 70% of a possible 240 points)
Upon successful completion of the
proficiency, a Form DACS-16005 will be issued for submission to the Florida
Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
It is recommended you bring the
following items to the range:
Eye and Ear protection
Baseball style hat
38 Revolver handgun 3 speed loaders
9mm semi-automatic with 3 magazines
Quality duty holster and magazine pouch
Comfortable clothing that provides protection from both the sun and
ejected brass
NO cross
draw holsters, shoulder holsters, SOB, or ankle holsters !!!!!

PAYMENT NOTICE: Full payment is
due on the first day of class. We accept credit cards online only and cash
or Money orders in person at the range. No personal or business checks
accepted.
